Hi! I am a passionate professional with a background in civil aviation and legal translation. Empathetic and warm, I love building connections with others, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, an ability that makes me a valued collaborator and leader. Whether it is through translation or interpersonal interactions, I especially enjoy weaving compelling and motivational communication with colleagues and clients. Living surrounded by colours and words fuels my passion, as I find fulfilment in understanding the world through their combination. This drives me to engage in communication and bridge-building across cultures and languages. I design magazines, logos, websites, stories, texts, and I materialise ideas to help clients bring their communication projects to fruition, encompassing a diverse range of mediums and expressions. I provide close, cheerful, pragmatic, and effective support and solutions as individuals embark on the wonderful journey of delivering messages to their intended recipients. Passionate about culture, people, travel and languages, I try to ensure that the combination of all this helps everyone to understand each other and be on the same page. I interpret at congresses, conferences, presentations and meetings, either simultaneously, consecutively or sworn. Whether online, in hybrid format or in person, in Barcelona or anywhere in the world, I coordinate teams of interpreters and sound technicians. My working languages are English, French, Catalan and Spanish. An insatiably curious and happy mother of three, I help clients quickly, professionally, and with a smile on my face. Languages have been a great passion of mine since childhood, driving me to explore the world and delve into different cultures. This passion led me to specialise in translation. Today, with over 30 years’ experience in technical translation and accreditated in Belgium as sworn translator for five languages, I hold the significant responsibility of ensuring the accuracy and consistency of every translation I produce. To me, each day presents a new linguistic and cultural adventure, which motivates me to continuously explore, refine, and enhance my translation skills to deliver precise and high-quality translations. I am Valentina, a bookworm and an indefatigable globetrotter. Words are my bread and butter. Translating, editing a text, or teaching a language is an art that requires skill, creativity, and precision, much like finding that ideal mix of ingredients needed to cook the perfect plate. That is why I like to call myself the “words’ chef”. I am fascinated by the power of words and the cultural bridges I can create with them. For this reason, in addition to teaching languages, I also dedicate myself to translation and proofreading.
